Study on the Degree of Knowledge for Regional Medical Insurance of Rural Residents

Abstract
|
|
|
This study had been carried out from July 20, 1991 to August 18, 1991.
The subject of study was residents of twelve villages in Yukoo-Myun. Kongju-Kun, Chung-Nam Do area and its members were 252 persons who has been belonged to Regional Medical Insurance.
A questionnaire was used for study and each household was made up a question to. Results are as follows;
1. Occupation of memebers was mostly agriculture and majority of them paid premium between 5000 to 9900 won a month and its percentage was 39.7 %. No member paid more then 2000 won.
2. 44.4 % of residents had knowledge on the Regional Medical Insurance through mass media such as paper, T.V., radio, and so on.
3. 44.4 % of them responded that purpose of operating Medical Insurance was health promotion of native people.
4. Premium was paid to an agricultural co-operative every month and majority of respondents prefered for monthly payment.
5. They mostly thought that it was reasonable that the present premium was cut down to half times or so.
6. 60.7 %o of them responded that cost-sharing which was paid when they had been received medical treatment was expensive.
